How to Make Fiestada Pizza at Home

Sharing is caring!

Fiestada Pizza is one of those iconic school lunches from the 80's and 90's that we all remember. Every Wednesday, we would all race to the cafeteria as fast as we could to get one or two of those yummy pizzas!

A few years ago I wrote an article about how much I love Fiestada pizza, and I have been promising a recipe that delivered the flavor we all come to know and love. I finally completed the recipe and am over the moon with the flavor profile. Each bite I take reminds me of my favorite school day of the week!

Here's how to make this delicious pizza.

How to Make Fiestada Pizzas

For this recipe, you need the following ingredients —

  • Ground beef
  • Taco Seasoning
  • Cumin
  • Pizza Sauce
  • Cheddar Cheese
  • Pizza Dough Mix

All these ingredients are simple and easy to find at the grocery store.

Start by mixing the pizza dough according to the package. You can roll it out to a rectangle if you want, but I found this cool octagon cookie cutter on Amazon and it worked perfectly for cutting out the pizza crust in the shape I remember the pizzas being.

Bake the pizza crust at 450 for 5 minutes. Remove the crust from the oven.

Mix the pizza sauce, cumin, salt, and taco seasoning in another small bowl. Set it aside.

Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain the grease and then set the meat aside.

Once the pizza crust comes out of the oven, top with the pizza sauce, ground beef crumbles, and then the cheddar cheese.

Place the pizzas back in the oven at 450 degrees for 10 minutes.

And that's it! You have the perfect old-school lunch pizza that we all remember and love.
