This Copycat Olive Garden dressing recipe tastes exactly like what you would get if you went to the restaurant and had their salad. It's not the salad so much as it is the dressing. For more restaurant favorites, visit Best Copycat Recipes.
I have been all over the Internet comparing recipes. I have finally combined a few and have come up with the perfect dressing.

I now can have this delicious and yummy treat with my dinner anytime I want! No more leaving the comfort of my own home.
How to Make Olive Garden Salad Dressing

In fact, I served this over a delicious Greek Pasta Salad the other day. Instead of using my regular pasta salad dressing, I put the Olive Garden dressing on it and it turned out SO good.
This is also great if you don't want to heat up your home -- because you can just have a delicious and fulfilling salad for dinner which is great for summer cooking.

Olive Garden seems to be known for so many favorites. Alfredo pasta, Zuppa Toscana, Pasta e Fagioli, Chicken and Gnocchi Soup and those breadsticks are my favorites -- and they all pair so well with this delicious crunchy salad.
Copycat Olive Garden Salad Dressing
If you want to create a salad like Olive Garden's, simply use a bagged Romain blend salad and add in black olives, croutons, tomatoes, red onions, and pepperoncini peppers.
To mix your dressing up quicker, you can try using an emulsifier like this one I found on Amazon -- Salad Dressing Mixer. I use it all the time and love it.

Salads are a great filler when you don't want to overeat and the best part is, if you put your dressing to the side and just dip your fork in your dressing, you will cut down on the calories majorly (because the dressing is where a lot of your salad calories come from.)

If you plan on using this on your next salad, why not fix a yummy entree like my Parmesan Chicken! It is simply delicious.
So what is your favorite salad and dressing?

Yum! I too love Olive Garden's salad dressing so thanks for sharing the recipe. Did you know you can ask for the "light" version of the house dressing at Olive Garden...and you can barely tell the difference!!! Its so good and I generally refuse to eat light salad dressings, so that is saying alot!
I do love Olive Garden's salad dressing, so I was very pleased to see this recipe! Your version looks delicious. Thank you for sharing it with The Hearth and Soul hop.
Both of my local Walmart's now stock the REAL Olive Garden dressing!! I saw it pictured in the ad last week & had to check for myself. It's in a plastic bottle & about $3.50 a bottle. Yay!!
I love Olive Garden's dressing and will certainly try this. Thanks so much for linking up with "Try a New Recipe Tuesday." I hope you will be able to join us again this week. 🙂
I will definitely have to share this with my sisters. My mom and sisters go to OliveGarden every Friday.
Can I ask what oil/vinegar dressing you used? I used Kraft and while it tastes ok, I don't think it compares to Olive Garden. It also doesn't look like Olive Garden. Thank you!
I used the Paul Newman olive and vinegar dressing but it is really to your liking of how you want it to taste. The Paul Newman tastes the closest
Hope it has less sodium......
Olive Garden's garden-fresh salad contains 550mg of sodium without dressing and 1,930mg of sodium with the dressing. The grilled chicken Caesar salad contains 1,880mg of sodium. The Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommends that Americans consume less than 2,300mg of sodium per day, or approximately 1 tsp of salt. Excessive dietary sodium intake may lead to hypertension and other medical problems. Both the garden-fresh salad with dressing and the grilled chicken Caesar salad make up nearly the entire day's dietary sodium allowance.
I was wondering when you make the Olive Garden dressing is it just vinegar and oil or do you buy a mixture of it. What did you use for yours? I looked at the Paul Newmans vinegar and oil but it looked like it has seasoning in it. Not sure what to use. If you could get back with me I would appreciate it. Thank you.
The base of the dressing is the Paul Newman Olive Oil and Vinegar dressing. I want to try some different versions, but that is how I make it right now. Just follow the recipe to the tee.
Hi, I was just wondering if this is also the dressing they use for their caesar salad? And if not, could you possibly make a recipe that is similar? I've been looking everywhere for a recipe for Olive Garden's caesar dressing and I haven't yet found a recipe. So, if you could, please and thank you! 🙂
Hi Amber
I will see if I can recreate one. I will work on it in the next few days and let you know the results!
Thank you, very much!
article sharing or too. thanks admin

It's been a while since we've been to Olive Garden. I too love their salad dressing, and I cannot wait to make this!
Great way to make it for those who are in love with Olive Garden's food!
I haven't had Olive Garden since I was a teenager. They closed most of the Canadian locations. I love their salad.
I dream of their unlimited salad and breadsticks. One of my favorites. I'll be making this!
This just looks so perfect. Who is not going to be thrilled with this dressing right? I quickly just want to give it a try.
I love Olive Garden's dressing. I would love to try to make this.
I was wondering how much lemon juice half is. I buy lemon juice in a bottle to use and don't know how much I should use. Half cup.. one fourth cup??
About 2 tablespoons I believe.
How many side salads would 1 recipe of copycat Olive Garde Salad
dressing serve. I'm serving 75 people, just wondering how many
batches of your recipe I needed to prepare.
I would definitely say at least 6? This recipe yields 1 cup of dressing. If you tossed it first before serving, you could probably get away with less.
