Homemade Chick-Fil-A Sauce

Sharing is caring!

This homemade Chick-fil-A sauce is just as good as your local Chick-fil-A restaurant. The tangy flavor is the best part and honestly is one of the easiest sauces I have ever made.

Instead of buying it at the store or bringing home tons of those little packs from the restaurant, make it yourself and save yourself some money! This special sauce tastes so good and is one of the best copycat recipes I have made and you are going to love how easy it is to make.

If you love dipping your chicken nuggets in delicious sauce creations, then hang on because this amazing sauce is the best I have ever made.

You don’t have to wait until it’s not a Sunday to get some of that sweet sweet Copycat Chick-fil-A Sauce. It only takes 5 simple ingredients and most will most likely already be in your fridge. Great for waffle fries, tater tots, chicken, dipping, you name it!

How to Make This Famous Sauce

For this chick fil a sauce you will need the following simple pantry ingredients. When I tell you it's easy, this is the complete list of ingredients–

  • ½ Cup Mayo (you can also use light mayo but that might change the flavor a little bit)
  • ¼ Cup Honey
  • ¼ Cup BBQ Sauce (any barbecue sauce brand will work – just plain bbq sauce)
  • 2 Tablespoons Yellow Mustard
  • 1 Teaspoon Lemon Juice

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a small bowl, ending with the honey.
  2. Stir until the tangy sauce fully combined. Enjoy this real deal copycat recipe!

Tips for Making this Delicious Sauce:

Allow the mixture to sit in the fridge for at least an hour before using giving the flavors a better chance to meld together. It’s not necessary though and you can eat the dip immediately.

Store any extra sauce in an airtight container, in the fridge, for up to 5 days. Do not freeze (the texture of the condiments changes). Sometimes I just store mine in a mason jar. The longer it sits, it makes a great flavor and enhances it.

This easy recipe doubles if you need larger amounts for your french fries.

I don’t suggest substituting any of the ingredients as this will change the flavor of the dip and it won’t be as similar to the original version of the sauce.

How I Serve This Sauce

A lot of times when I am making dinner, I will throw together a nibble board full of chicken tenders, different varieties of fries, little slider buns, etc. with this sauce right in the middle. Make up a few chicken sandwiches to place on the board also. It makes for the perfect sauce for party appetizers and more.

The next time you are craving your favorite dishes, skip the long lines at the fast food restaurants and make your copycat food at home!

Making any kind of signature sauce in your own kitchen is fun. Be sure and check out my other sauce recipes like homemade sweet and sour sauce, eel sauce, homemade ranch dressing, and my favorite sauce– homemade buffalo sauce.
