I love every year when I can make a new apple recipe. This year, I finally got around to making Crockpot Apple Cider. If I would have known how easy it was to make this, I would have done it a lot sooner!
This crockpot apple cider is made from scratch using delicious fresh apples, cinnamon sticks and some warm spices for the perfect fall beverage in a cup. Of course, I store this delectable juice in the refrigerator in the new Ball Amber Canning Jars.

Now that I have the new amber canning jars, my mind is running wild with all the things I can make and store in these beautiful jars!

They come in three sizes — 64-ounce, 32-ounce, and 16-ounce sizes. I can see using the 64-ounce for storing flour, sugar, or beans and rice.
Okay — so let’s get down to this delicious recipe for Crockpot Apple Cider.
How to Make Crockpot Apple Cider
Start with your base ingredients —
- 1 cup of orange juice
If you want to make something that your family will love this fall holiday, why not make Crockpot Apple Cider from scratch?
- 8 each Gala Apples, cored and quartered
- 4 each cinnamon sticks
- 1 tablespoon whole cloves
- 1 teaspoon allspice
- 9 cups water
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
Place your quartered apples into a slow cooker. Add in cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, and allspice in there and pour in the water and orange juice.
Cook on high for 3 hours.
Mash the apples with a potato masher. Add in brown sugar. Cook an additional 1-3 hours on low.
Strain the solids from the liquids. Discard solids and store liquids in Ball Amber Canning Jars for up to 1 week or freeze in ziplock storage bags for later use.
