Last year, when our corn was in abundance, I bought a huge bag full. When you have about 15 pounds of corn to deal with, you learn all you can about different ways to cook it — which is how I came up with this simple and easy way of roasting your corn in the oven.

I love grilled corn on the cob. Don't get me wrong. It is my absolute favorite. But sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate, and I cannot grill it. Now that I know I can get that same flavor just by roasting in the oven, this is my new favorite way!
How to Make Oven-Roasted Corn on the Cob
Roasting ears of corn is incredibly simple, and the best part is the amazing flavor that you get.
First, you need to husk the corn and remove as much of the silk as possible. I have heard that you can microwave the corn for 3 minutes with husks on, and the silk and everything slide right off. I have not tried that, but I think I need to experiment and see if that works!

Ingredients
- 4 ears of fresh corn, husked and cleaned
- 4 tablespoons butter, softened
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: garlic powder, paprika, or fresh herbs
Rub each ear liberally with softened butter and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Roast it on a baking sheet (like these I found on Amazon) and then halfway through the cooking time, flip so that the other side can get a simple char on it as well.
To get an even better char, pop them under the broiler until you get it charred to your liking.

How to Make Oven Roasted Corn on the Cob
- Preheat the oven
Set your oven to 400°F. - Prepare the corn
Remove the husks and silk from each ear of corn. Rinse and pat dry. - Season generously
Spread butter all over each ear of corn. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and any additional seasonings you like. - Wrap or place on baking sheet
You can either wrap each ear in foil for a softer texture or place them directly on a baking sheet for a slightly roasted finish. - Roast the corn
Bake for 25–30 minutes, turning halfway through, until the kernels are tender and lightly golden. - Serve warm
Remove from the oven and add an extra pat of butter if desired. Serve immediately.
