- ½ cup milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

How to Make Homemade Strawberry Muffins
To make these muffins, you only need a few simple ingredients. This recipe is sweetened by the strawberries and with honey instead of sugar. This gives them a more natural flavor.

I use a cookie scoop to make sure that all my muffin tins are filled evenly. You can just place it right into the muffin tin, but I like to use cupcake liners.
It just makes for a more easily transportable dessert.

We love making these muffins and either eating them for breakfast or as a snack when I need something to tide me over.
When strawberries are in abundance, I make lots of delicious berry desserts. One of my most popular is this easy Strawberry Buttercream Cake.
Tips for the Best Strawberry Muffins
Use Fresh Strawberries
Fresh berries work best and provide the juiciest flavor. Pat them dry after washing to prevent excess moisture in the batter.
Don't Overmix
Overmixing can make muffins dense. Stir only until the flour disappears.
Toss the Berries in Flour
Coating the chopped strawberries with a tablespoon of flour before adding them to the batter helps prevent them from sinking to the bottom.

Add a Crunchy Topping
Sprinkle coarse sugar on top before baking for a sweet bakery-style finish.
Storage Instructions
Store leftover muffins in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. For longer storage, refrigerate them for up to 5 days.
Freezing
These muffins freeze beautifully. Place cooled muffins in a freezer-safe bag and freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw at room temperature or warm in the microwave for 20 to 30 seconds.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use frozen strawberries?
Yes. Use them straight from the freezer and chop them while still partially frozen. Avoid thawing completely, as they can add excess moisture to the batter.
Can I substitute maple syrup for honey?
Yes. Maple syrup works well and gives the muffins a slightly different flavor.
Why are my strawberry muffins dense?
Dense muffins are usually caused by overmixing the batter. Stir gently and stop once everything is combined.
Can I make mini muffins?
Absolutely! Bake mini muffins at 375°F for about 10 to 12 minutes.
